When joining a university, your first week is set aside to allow you to discover new places, try out new activities, meet new friends and generally get used to being away from home for the first time. This week is affectionally known as ‘Freshers Week’ and it is often associated with incredible parties and superb fun. There is also another side to Freshers Week. The opportunity to seek out part time student jobs to help you get through the year financially.
Generally the jobs on offer range from retail, to restaurants, pubs and even the armed forces. For the first time we sent a couple of our team to various leading Universities in London as since our inception we have offered part time places to exceptional candidates with a passion for information technology. It is a win-win for everyone. We get the opportunity to work with some great people, many of whom stay with us once they have finished their studies, and students have the opportunity to work and get real world experience that will give them a step ahead once they complete their studies.
The feedback from our team this year was phenomenal. They had the opportunity to speak to so many incredible students, many of whom liked what we had to say and have applied to join our ranks. We have genuinely been overwhelmed by the quality of the people who have put themselves forward so far and we can’t wait to offer a number of them their first IT job with us.
